The Verity Mod is a free Minecraft modification that brings the AI companion from ThatMob’s videos into Minecraft Java Edition. Developed by the Verity Mod team and based on ThatMob’s creation, it adds a mysterious assistant that can answer questions, chat with players, and help them survive. Its AI runs on local models through Ollama, on the player’s own machine, so it requires no API keys, accounts, or cloud service.

The mod combines helpful features with atmospheric surprises. Verity appears from an animated box, while the Verity Demon and extreme darkness introduce eerie changes to gameplay. Built-in speech-to-text and text-to-speech let players speak with Verity, and custom voice support allows them to personalize its voice. The mod supports English, Spanish, Dutch, French, German, Italian, and Japanese.

Players can download the free mod through CurseForge and find setup guidance, updates, and support through the project’s Discord community. The official website also features screenshots, a trailer, creator information, and ways to submit feedback or report bugs.
