Verloskundig Centrum Velsen

Verloskundig Centrum Velsen is a midwifery practice serving families in and around the Velsen region, with locations in Velserbroek and IJmuiden. For more than 25 years, the centre has focused on quality care and personal attention. Its close-knit team of five midwives supports expectant parents throughout pregnancy, birth and the postnatal period, working with each client to discuss preferences while prioritising the safety of mother and baby.

The practice offers pregnancy consultations, advice on nutrition and common discomforts, prenatal screening information, and additional checks or appointment time when needed. Births are supported at home or in hospital, and the midwives can remain with clients if hospital staff take over, when requested. The centre also has its own ultrasound facility in Velserbroek, offering medical, urgent and keepsake scans.

Other services include postnatal guidance, breastfeeding support, information about newborn checks and contraception, and a practical evening birth-preparation course for parents and partners.
