VeryNile | Cairo is a brand that is dedicated to driving the largest cleanup means of large-scale, efficient, and environmentally sound removal of plastic pollution from aquatic ecosystems. This initiative, supported by Bassita, aims to clean the Nile while raising awareness about the importance of protecting our environment. VeryNile's mission interlaces social and environmental impact, focusing on developing sustainable and eco-friendly solutions to remove inorganic waste from the river.

With the support of organizations such as the Drosos Foundation, One Earth One Ocean, and the Ministry of Environment, VeryNile has made significant progress in its key activities. These activities include cleaning the Nile through the use of sustainable means, recycling and upcycling solid waste, and implementing preventive measures to decrease the usage of single-use plastic and reduce water pollution. VeryNile is also actively involved in various projects that revolve around empowering local fishermen, creating job opportunities for women in the local communities, organizing events and workshops for the youth, developing a waste management system on Qursaya Island, and building a coalition to ban single-use plastic bags.

Through their awareness campaigns and involvement in cleaning events, VeryNile engages with volunteers and partners with film and art festivals to raise awareness on protecting the environment. The collected plastic is managed through a well-defined process in collaboration with their partners. Most of VeryNile's activities take place in their community hub located on Qursaya Island in Cairo.
