Vespertilio

Vespertilio Oy is a Finnish nature survey company founded in 2015, formerly operating as Tmi Vespertilio. The company provides ecological survey services, drawing on the founder’s extensive experience in biology, particularly bird and bat studies. Its work supports the assessment of wildlife and habitats in connection with development and land-use projects.

Vespertilio’s services include bat surveys conducted through both active fieldwork and passive monitoring equipment, as well as inspections of buildings used by bats. The company also carries out breeding bird surveys and migration monitoring. For wind power projects, it offers nature surveys to help identify relevant ecological considerations. Additional services include flying squirrel surveys.

Based in Aura, Finland, Vespertilio serves clients seeking specialist information about birds, bats, and other wildlife in areas under assessment. The company is led by biologist Ville Vasko, whose experience informs its focus on practical, field-based nature studies. Its services are tailored to the different survey needs of projects, from documenting species activity to checking buildings and assessing wildlife habitats.
