Veten

Veten Opp is an annual mountain-running event held in Finneidfjord, Norway, inviting participants to take on a challenging route from sea to summit. The course begins at the harbor area and climbs to the TV antenna atop Mount Veten, covering 5 kilometers and gaining 700 meters in elevation. Runners follow roads before continuing along forest roads and trails through woodland and mountain terrain.

The event offers both a timed competition and a recreational class. In the competition, participants start together, with the fastest runner to the summit declared the winner. Categories include women, men, and junior classes for boys and girls, with cash prizes awarded to the top three in each class. The recreational option welcomes adults and children who want to participate without timekeeping; participants can choose their own pace and distance, with an alternative finish at Reinhagen. Free refreshments are provided to recreational participants. Veten Opp also provides event registration and practical information for visitors. The listed event date is September 12, 2026.
