Foundation For Veterinary Dentistry

The Foundation for Veterinary Dentistry (FVD) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing oral health in animals through education, research, and outreach. Its community includes people passionate about veterinary dentistry across species, from dogs and cats to rabbits, horses, and tigers. FVD works to educate the public about the importance of animal oral health and supports efforts to improve veterinary dental care.

The foundation offers programs that include Make Me Smile grants, scholarships, and support for veterinary dental education and research. Its grants can help animal shelters provide dental surgeries and treatments for animals awaiting adoption. FVD also invites students to join its Student Chapters, encouraging learning and engagement with the field. For professionals and others seeking current information, the organization supports the Journal of Veterinary Dentistry, which readers can subscribe to, and shares news through its newsletters and eNewsletter. Donations help fund education and research around the world. Through these programs and resources, FVD brings together supporters, students, and veterinary professionals to promote better oral health for animals.
