Springfield Municipal Golf operates two public golf courses in Springfield, Massachusetts: Franconia Golf Course and Veteran’s Memorial Golf Course. Together, they offer golfers courses with distinct histories, layouts, and options for different skill levels. Franconia opened in 1929 and was designed by John Van Kleek, Wayne Stiles, and Geoffrey Cornish. It measures 6,213 yards from the longest tees, has three sets of tees, and provides an 18-hole course tour and playing tips online. Veteran’s Memorial opened in 1964, was designed by Geoffrey S. Cornish, and plays 6,350 yards from the longest tees as a par-72 course.
The website provides online tee-time booking for both locations, course contact details, operating hours, and current green fees. Golfers can choose 18- or 9-hole rounds, weekday and weekend rates, twilight play, or eligible veteran, disabled veteran, junior, and senior rates. Golf carts are available for an additional fee. Weekday visitors may book a tee time or walk on, while weekend tee times are required during the morning period.
