About Vets Are People Too
Vets Are People Too is a dedicated initiative aimed at raising awareness about the alarming issue of veterinarian suicide, a growing crisis impacting veterinary professionals globally. With studies indicating that 1 in 6 veterinarians has contemplated suicide, the project seeks to highlight the mental health struggles faced by vets and their support staff, including vet techs and nurses. The project provides valuable resources, visual stories, blogs, and infographics to educate pet owners about the challenges in the veterinary field, such as understaffing and burnout resulting from increased demands on veterinary services.
