The Vintners’ Federation of Ireland (VFI) is a trade organisation representing pubs across Ireland and supporting the businesses and people behind them. It advocates for the trade with relevant stakeholders, including Government, local authorities, suppliers and other agencies. The VFI also offers members expert advice and representation when they face difficulties in running their businesses, helping them access practical support and information.
Through its website, the organisation shares news and updates affecting Ireland’s pubs, including developments in government support, energy costs and rural pub issues. Its resources include information on pub opening hours, a members’ guide and details of bar management apprenticeships. The VFI promotes professional development through its Bar Management Apprenticeship and provides a forum for discussion across the pub sector.
The organisation also connects pubs with businesses through a supplier directory, trusted supplier listings and trade patron opportunities. In partnership with the Licensed Vintners Association, it presents the Irish Pub Awards. Based in Rathfarnham, Dublin, the VFI works to represent its members and strengthen the Irish pub trade.
