About VRYHEIDSFRONT PLUS
VRYHEIDSFRONT PLUS, also known as the Freedom Front Plus, is a political brand that is dedicated to promoting group rights and advocating for a better South Africa for all its citizens. With a mission to protect and maintain the independence of the Independent Police Investigative Directorate (IPID), VRYHEIDSFRONT PLUS works to ensure that the appointment of IPID's executive director remains impartial and free from political influence. Despite being labeled as unconstitutional by the state's legal advisor, the Minister of Police, Bheki Cele, introduced the IPID Amendment Bill to Parliament, seeking to grant the Minister and Cabinet the power to make this appointment.
VRYHEIDSFRONT PLUS opposes this bill and highlights the ANC government's abuse of power in attempting to control IPID. By standing against unconstitutional actions, VRYHEIDSFRONT PLUS aims to uphold the principles of democracy and safeguard the nation's institutions
