VicFallsWildlifeTrust

Victoria Falls Wildlife Trust is a conservation organisation based in Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe, working to protect ecosystems and promote the sustainable use of indigenous resources across Southern Africa. Its mission brings together environmental conservation, scientific research and community engagement, with a vision of local and international communities working together to sustain natural ecosystems for everyone’s benefit.

The Trust’s work spans wildlife rescue, rehabilitation and release, as well as research into long-term conservation solutions. Its Wildlife Disease and Forensics Laboratory uses scientific and veterinary techniques to address wildlife management challenges, support disease surveillance and investigate wildlife crime. Other initiatives focus on conserving lions, rhinos and vultures, removing snares, and protecting Zambezi National Park as part of the wider KAZA landscape.

The organisation also works with communities to encourage coexistence between people and wildlife through conservation education, community development and human-wildlife conflict initiatives. Visitors can book a one-hour tour of its High-Care Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre and laboratory facilities.
