About VG-CARE
The Vietnamese-German Center for Medical Research (VG-CARE) is a leading institution in conducting GCP/GCLP-compliant clinical research on infectious diseases in the region. Established in 2015 through a collaboration between Tran Hung Dao Hospital (108 Military Central Hospital), Hanoi, and the Institute of Tropical Medicine, University of Tübingen, VG-CARE is situated on a hospital campus with 2500 inpatient beds and 3000 daily outpatients. VG-CARE's vision is to enhance healthcare capabilities by conducting basic and applied clinical research and promoting health equity through education, training, and community engagement.
Supported by the BMBF and DAAD, VG-CARE is equipped for conducting clinical trials and has been selected as a global health hub for pandemic preparedness. Financial backing from various institutions enables VG-CARE to support research endeavors focusing on infectious diseases, welcoming international projects for collaboration.
