The All-Russian Genealogical Tree (Всероссийское Генеалогическое Древо, ВГД) is a pioneering online platform dedicated to helping individuals trace their family history and connect with lost relatives. Launched in May 1999, the website has grown to become a vital resource for both novice and experienced genealogists, offering a wealth of information, a supportive community forum, and tools for building personal family trees. Visitors are encouraged to contribute their own data, fostering a collaborative environment where information is continuously updated.

VGD stands out for its ambitious mission to weave together the intricate tapestry of Russian ancestry, providing a database that expands as users share their discoveries. While the site serves as a valuable guide, it is important to note that the information is gathered from open sources and user contributions, and may not serve as legal proof of relationships. The platform is not just about finding roots but also about fostering connections, allowing users to discover long-lost friends and family, making it a unique treasure for anyone curious about their heritage.
