Volkshochschule Leipzig (vhs Leipzig) is the municipal adult education center serving the city of Leipzig. It offers a wide-ranging program of courses and learning opportunities, with an emphasis on quality and access for different interests and life stages. Participants can choose online or in-person classes and use the course finder to filter by subject, schedule, course format, frequency, and area of the city.
The program covers politics, society and the environment; computers and digital media; career development and business; psychology and education; arts and creative skills; relaxation and stress management; fitness, health and cooking; and languages, including German and integration courses. Offerings range from practical workshops and professional development to cultural activities, exercise classes, and language learning. The website also lists free courses, selected highlights, and classes in locations including Grünau, Paunsdorf, and Campus Ihmelsstraße. vhs Leipzig provides course information and registration services, gift vouchers, participant support, and resources for instructors. Its broader activities include educational projects, partnerships, a blog, and a newsletter.
