Vanderburgh Humane Society (VHS) is a reputable brand that has been serving the community since 1957. As a non-profit organization, VHS is dedicated to providing shelter and care for homeless and abused animals, as well as promoting responsible pet ownership through education and community outreach. Located in Evansville, Indiana, VHS serves as both a surrender and adoption agency for unwanted pets.

With a small group of passionate residents, VHS started as a humble home-based operation before eventually establishing a physical shelter in the city center on Millner Industrial Drive. VHS is committed to eliminating pet overpopulation and offers affordable spay/neuter services, vaccinations, and behavioral education programs. They encourage the community to adopt, not shop, for their furry companions, and provide a variety of adoptable animals, including cats, dogs, rabbits, and more.

In addition to their adoption services, VHS operates a low-cost Spay & Neuter Clinic that has effectively reduced the number of unwanted litters in the area. With their long-standing legacy, VHS continues to lead the community in promoting the welfare of animals and strengthening the human-animal bond. They rely on the generosity of the public and corporate community to sustain and expand their vital services.
