About La Via Campesina
La Via Campesina is an international peasant movement that has been the voice of peasants, indigenous people, and rural workers since 1993. With over 180 organizations in 80+ countries, they are dedicated to fighting for the rights of peasants and advocating for food sovereignty, agroecology, and peasants' seeds. Their campaigns include the Global Campaign for Agrarian Reform, Climate and Environmental Justice, and Dignity for Migrants and Waged Workers, among others.
La Via Campesina also organizes international conferences and events to bring together like-minded individuals and organizations to share knowledge and strengthen their collective struggle. Through their publications, including annual reports and newsletters, they aim to inform and educate the public about their work.
