About Viapass
Viapass is the governing authority responsible for the Kilometer Charge in Belgium, which applies to trucks weighing more than 3. 5 tons or towing vehicles (N1/BC). All trucks traveling on Belgian roads are required to have an On Board Unit (OBU) installed, which only invoices the kilometers driven on tolled roads.
Viapass ensures the efficient and coordinated implementation of the Kilometer Charge. On their website, you can find all the necessary information about the charge, including who is subject to it and the rates for tolled roads. The use of the OBU is strictly monitored, and any fraudulent or non-compliant use is subject to penalties.
