Viarco is a Portuguese pencil factory based in São João da Madeira, with a focus on drawing, creative tools and the evolving role of the pencil in art and design. Its product range includes traditional pencils and specialist materials, alongside ArtGraf graphite products, watercolour graphite, brushes, artist kits, notebooks and drawing accessories. Viarco also offers products for office, school, professional and promotional use, as well as vintage collections and the Risko Drawing Desk.

The brand develops tools that encourage experimentation and accessible creative practice. Its Doodler system combines a durable ceramic support, concentrated graphite and pigment, and application and cleaning tools for drawing and painting. Viarco also offers products featuring ColorADD, a symbolic colour-identification system designed to help people with colour vision deficiencies distinguish colours.

Beyond its products, Viarco engages with artists, designers and educational communities through collaborations, exhibitions, artistic residencies and workshops. Its initiatives explore drawing, printmaking, comics and paper transformation, while projects such as Turn It invite new interpretations of the pencil through contemporary design.
