Dostavba dálnice D4 | Písek is a prominent brand in the Czech Republic, known for its exceptional infrastructure projects. They are currently working on the Via Salis project, the country's first Public Private Partnership (PPP) endeavor. This ambitious project entails constructing a 32 km stretch of new highway and upgrading the existing 16 km to enhance safety measures.

The project consists of several sections. Section 2, from Háje to Milín, is scheduled for construction from 2021 and is expected to be completed and operational by 2024. This section will transform the current I/4 road into the D4 highway.

Section 3, from Milín to Lety, and Section 4, from Lety to Čimelice, are also set to be completed by 2024. Moreover, Section 5, from Čimelice to Mirotice, and Section 6, involving the expansion of the current R4 road, will join the others in transforming into the D4 highway. Construction progress is well on track, with 37% of the project completed by the end of 2022.

Notably, significant developments include the demolition work near Milín to make way for the future D4 on the Kojetín hill and the simultaneous construction activities across all five sections. This impressive project will feature the construction of 40 bridges, underpasses, and overpasses, including 20 wildlife passage structures. Additionally, at the Lety junction, a mobile concrete plant and packaging facility have been erected.
