VIBA, established in 2004 in Novi Sad, is a dynamic organization dedicated to enhancing basketball in Serbia and neighboring countries, including Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, and Hungary. Founded by experienced coaches Janko Lukovski, Zoran Mirković, Mile Medaković, and Ivan Hajnal, VIBA has successfully organized league competitions for over a decade. The league format ensures that all participating clubs, approximately 35 each season, enjoy equal opportunities to compete across seven age categories, including minibasketball to seniors.
VIBA's competitive landscape boasts around 80 teams, with matches held every weekend at SC "Dejan Sremčević." The league promotes inclusivity by offering competitions for both boys and girls, culminating in a vibrant end-of-season ceremony that awards medals, certificates, and showcases ALL STAR games featuring league champions. With over 1,000 children licensed each season and approximately 25 games played weekly, VIBA continues to foster the growth of basketball, encouraging young talents to shine on the court.
