Viborg Gliding Club is a Danish club introducing people to the sport and experience of flying without an engine. Based at Vedsøvej 12 in Viborg, the club welcomes aspiring pilots, visitors and anyone curious about life at a gliding airfield. It presents gliding as both a hobby and a sport, with the open-air views and quiet of flight central to the experience.

There are several ways to get started. Visitors can book a trial flight, while prospective members can try the activity through a one-month trial membership that includes five flights. Those ready to pursue flying can join as students and train toward flying solo. The club also holds introductory evenings twice a year, where potential students can learn about gliding and ask questions.

Guests can get a feel for a typical flying day, from briefings and weather checks to preparing aircraft and taking to the air. The club also describes early-morning flights around the airfield.
