About Guernsey Victim Support & Witness Service
The Bailiwick of Guernsey Victim Support & Witness Service is an independent charitable organization in Guernsey that provides free and confidential support to victims and witnesses of crime, as well as their families and friends. They offer emotional support, practical help, and information to victims, regardless of whether the crime has been reported or if it occurred recently or in the past. In addition, the Witness Service offers support and information to individuals called as witnesses to criminal courts, both before and after the case.
They also provide support for those required to attend Domestic Proceedings or Matrimonial courts. Committed to ensuring a positive experience, their services are available to all individuals, irrespective of age, gender, disability, sexual orientation, race, religion, or beliefs. With a team of dedicated volunteers and staff, they operate from a quiet and self-contained suite within the Royal Court building.
