About Fundación Vida Azul
Fundación Vida Azul is a remarkable Environmental Protection Movement founded by a group of dedicated and visionary scuba diving enthusiasts in 2007. We are committed to inspiring change along our coastlines and emphasize transparency in all our endeavors. With bold goals and a clear strategy, we strive to move people and make a lasting impact.
Our journey began when a tourist reached out to us in 2007, seeking recommendations for diving spots in the northern part of the Dominican Republic. After her week-long diving experience, she posted about her trip online, expressing disappointment in the dirty beaches, dead corals, and lack of marine life. This critique sparked a profound transformation within us, leading to the creation of Fundación Vida Azul.
