VideoPro Africa was founded by Louis (Weis Dev), who began his education in Uganda before moving to Kenya in 2012. It was in Kenya, while studying at Hotsun Film School (also known as Kibera Film School), that Louis discovered his true passion for film. During this time, he also developed web development skills, which later became crucial in his entrepreneurial journey.

After finishing his studies, Louis joined an internship where he further honed his skills. Driven by a passion for both technology and storytelling, he started HQue Media in Nairobi. The company quickly gained recognition for its top-notch video production services, helping clients achieve their creative goals.

Building on the success of HQue Media, Louis recognized a gap in the African film industry: the need to make film production more accessible and efficient across the continent. This led to the creation of VideoPro Africa, a platform designed to connect filmmakers with clients and opportunities. Louis's travels across Africa, including attending the FESPACO film festival, fueled his vision of creating a lasting impact on the industry, making film production easier, and helping filmmakers across the continent reach new audiences.
