About VDSG
VDSG (Vienna Data Science Group) is a nonprofit association dedicated to promoting knowledge about data science. As an organization, VDSG connects passionate data scientists from various research and industry sectors, fostering a strong community of professionals in Europe and around the world. At VDSG, our aim is to explore and advance the field of data science through informative events, publications, and collaborations.
Join us at our upcoming event where we'll be discussing the contribution of quantum computing in the data science field. The event will feature two engaging talks. In the first talk, Clemens Sauerzopf, CTO of Data Technology, will provide an introduction to quantum computing and its potential impact on various industries.
Specifically, he will delve into the applications of quantum computing in data science. In the second talk, David Alber, a Data Scientist and Quantum Ambassador with IBM, along with Olaf Hahn, a Data and AI Evangelist, will showcase how Quantum-enhanced Support Vector Machines (QSVMs) can be utilized to classify gestures made by a conventional smartphone. They will demonstrate the integration of QSVMs into traditional application environments using the Qiskit Python framework and IBM Quantum resources.
Don't miss this opportunity to gain insights into the cutting-edge world of quantum computing and its intersection with data science. Join us at VDSG and be part of the growing data science community
