The Russian Journal of Vietnamese Studies is a quarterly, peer-reviewed academic journal founded by the Center for Vietnam and ASEAN Studies at the Institute of China and Contemporary Asia of the Russian Academy of Sciences. Led by Editor-in-Chief Professor Vladimir M. Mazyrin, it provides an international platform for research and discussion on Vietnam.

The journal publishes original scholarship across politics, economics, society, history, culture, and philology, including literary studies and linguistics. Its content also includes conference reviews, information about dissertation defenses in Vietnamese studies, significant official documents, book reviews, and profiles of leading Russian and Vietnamese researchers. Articles are accepted and published in full text in both Russian and English.

The journal serves scholars, academics, teachers, university students, and others interested in Vietnam. It operates a platinum open-access model, charges no article processing fees, and publishes under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4. 0 International licence.
