ViewSTL is a browser-based 3D model viewer and editing tool created by Omri Rips. It lets users open and inspect 3D files without installing software, supporting STL, OBJ, 3MF, VF, VSB, and VSJ formats. Models can be loaded from a local device or by dragging and dropping a file into the viewer.

Users can rotate, pan, and zoom the scene, select models or features, and adjust properties such as orientation, position, scale, rotation, and opacity. The interface also offers measurement details, including dimensions, volume, surface area, and triangle count, with units available in millimeters or inches. For preparation and sharing, ViewSTL includes options to print models, save or download them in ViewSTL’s VSB or VSJ formats, preserve camera settings, and export an image of the current view.

The service also provides an embeddable JavaScript plugin, help information, frequently asked questions, and terms of use. Powered by Three. js, ViewStl JS Plugin, and MaterializeCSS, ViewSTL offers an accessible way to review and work with 3D models online
