Vigevano-Prabis

Vigevano-Prabis ODV is an Italian nonprofit organization dedicated to improving healthcare and saving lives in Guinea-Bissau. Its central commitment is supporting the Sao José Pediatric Hospital in Bor, a village near the capital, Bissau. The association helped establish and sustain the hospital, which is managed by Guinean medical staff who studied in Europe and returned to serve their communities. The hospital has grown into a respected healthcare facility in the country.

Vigevano-Prabis supports practical services and resources that strengthen pediatric care. Its work includes helping train and support medical personnel, funding essential medicines, and contributing to a pharmacy equipped with software to monitor medication. With support from the Italian Episcopal Conference, the organization also acquired a new ambulance to help reach and assist remote communities. Contributions from supporters, including the Waldensian Church, have helped provide vital medicines for the hospital.

People can support the mission through donations, volunteering, and solidarity gifts. Vigevano-Prabis also welcomes businesses and other supporters to join its efforts to make healthcare more accessible across borders.
