Viharsarki Koraszülöttmentő Alapítvány is a registered Hungarian public-benefit foundation based in Gyula, working to support premature babies and their families in Békés County. Its mission is to help provide care for the region’s smallest and most vulnerable patients. Since the launch of its premature-infant rescue ambulance in May 2019, the service has assisted close to 1,000 children, including premature babies, newborns and infants.
The foundation uses donations to support the ambulance’s operation, purchase equipment needed for premature-infant care, and assist hospital departments. It also shares news, updates and information about its work, and invites individuals and organisations to contribute through one-time or regular donations, bank transfers, or Hungary’s personal income tax 1% allocation. The foundation reports more than 1,500 supported families and over ten years of experience.
Its activities are backed by community supporters and local organisations, and it provides information about its mission, trustees, events and ways to help through its website and Facebook page
