Viitapiiri

Viitapiiri ry is an active writers’ association based in Tampere, Finland, dedicated to supporting the region’s literary culture and bringing people together through writing and performance. The association organizes lively literary events, including spoken-word poetry, and welcomes writers and literature enthusiasts to join its community.

Viitapiiri offers several ways to develop creative work and share it with others. Members and clients can request professional spoken-word poets, a poetry improvisation group or a poetry band for events. The association also provides feedback on manuscripts, peer support for writing, and inspiring courses and training in writing and performance. These activities help participants explore both the craft of writing and the skills involved in presenting work to an audience.

Through its events, learning opportunities and creative services, Viitapiiri contributes to literary life in the Pirkanmaa region. Those interested in writing, poetry or performance can find opportunities to learn, receive encouragement and take part in a welcoming community by joining the association.
