The Vancouver Island Junior Hockey League (VIJHL) is a junior hockey league featuring teams from communities across Vancouver Island. Its member clubs include the Campbell River Storm, Comox Valley Glacier Kings, Kerry Park Islanders, Lake Cowichan Kraken, Nanaimo Buccaneers, Oceanside Generals, Peninsula Panthers, Port Alberni Bombers, Saanich Predators, Victoria Cougars, and Westshore Wolves. The league provides a platform for players to compete, develop their hockey skills, and pursue further education and training.
Its Academic & Leadership Scholarship Program supports players’ continued education, with scholarships available to eligible athletes from the North and South divisions. The VIJHL also promotes the sport through league games, playoff competitions, a prospects game, and coverage of scores, statistics, standings, awards, and alumni. Fans and participants can follow team news, player and goalie statistics, disciplinary records, transactions, and live game coverage through the league’s website.
With teams representing communities throughout the island, the VIJHL connects local hockey audiences with junior-level competition and player development
