Architektonická čistota, prolínání prostor – interiéru i exteriéru, nadčasové technické vybavení, ušlechtilé a exotické materiály, a především vysoká míra zachovalosti – to jsou hlavní atributy, díky nimž byla vila Tugendhat v roce 2001 zapsaná na Seznam světového dědictví UNESCO. Vila Tugendhat byla postavena v letech 1929–1930.

About Vila Tugendhat
Vila Tugendhat is an architectural landmark in Brno, Czechia, and a department of the Museum of the City of Brno. Designed by German architect Ludwig Mies van der Rohe for Greta and Fritz Tugendhat, the villa was built in 1929–1930. Its clean architectural lines, connection between interior and exterior spaces, advanced technical features, distinctive materials, and remarkable state of preservation contributed to its inclusion on the UNESCO World Heritage List in 2001.
Visitors can choose guided tours ranging from a 60-minute introduction to the main living area to a 90-minute extended tour that includes the building’s technical facilities. A separate exterior tour explores the terraces, garden, and surrounding villa district. The garden and exhibitions in the villa’s technical floor are open to visitors without a guide, subject to weather conditions. The site also offers a virtual tour of all three floors and the garden, as well as public events, educational programs, publications, and information about the villa’s history. Interior visits require advance ticket purchases.
