Village Lactation

Village Lactation provides professional, compassionate breastfeeding and infant-feeding support led by Sara Couchman, an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) with more than 10 years of experience. Drawing on work in public maternity wards, lactation clinics and private practice, Sara offers practical guidance tailored to each family’s needs and circumstances.

Services are available at the welcoming home clinic in Moggill, through in-home visits across Brisbane, Ipswich and surrounding suburbs, and by Telehealth throughout Australia. Support covers babies from birth to 24 months and includes help with painful feeds and latch, tongue-tie assessment, low or oversupply, pumping and returning to work, responsive bottle feeding, starting solids, mastitis and blebs, and gentle weaning. Families can also access on-demand educational videos addressing common questions, including milk supply, paced bottle feeding and feeding transitions.

Village Lactation aims to help parents feel heard, informed and more confident, with calm, compassionate care and clear, practical plans. Consultations can be booked for in-person or remote support, with travel fees applying to home visits according to distance.
