Village Loan Closet

The Village Loan Closet (VLC) is a nonprofit, all-volunteer organization serving residents of Hot Springs Village, Arkansas. Its mission is to make essential medical mobility equipment available at no cost, helping people manage recovery after injury or surgery and improve mobility and comfort when living with chronic conditions. Equipment available for short-term loan includes wheelchairs, walkers, canes, crutches, knee and foot walkers, shower chairs, commodes, toilet risers, bedpans, urinals, and pole grabbers. Items are offered on a first-come, first-served basis for a six-month term, with renewal options.

VLC also accepts gently used medical equipment donations, helping keep reusable items out of landfills. Electrical items cannot be accepted. The organization is supported by volunteers, sponsors, and community contributions, and offers opportunities to volunteer or support its annual nursing scholarship. The Village Loan Closet is located at 111 Calella Road in Hot Springs Village and is open Monday through Friday from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. Residents can call 501-922-2888 for information.
