Villa Huvin

Villa Huvin Ystävät ry is an association connected with Villa Huvi, a supported-living community in Espoo for 15 young people with disabilities. Villa Huvi provides each resident with a private home of about 40 square metres, including a small kitchen, sleeping alcove, bathroom, walk-in closet and covered terrace. Its two-door model, operated by the Aspa Foundation, is designed to balance community life with privacy according to each resident’s preferences.

Residents receive substantial assistance with everyday activities, personal matters and daily guidance. Support is tailored to individual needs and wishes, helping young adults lead lives that reflect their own interests. Residents take part in activities such as concerts, theatre, sporting events, band practice and horse riding, as well as spending time with family and friends. The association also shares resident and staff stories, publishes news and organizes community events, including YIMBY gatherings and seasonal sales. Funds raised through participation fees help provide enjoyable activities for residents.
