Lastenkoti Villa Kataja is a private child welfare home in Luvia, Eurajoki, owned by the family business Sosiaalipalvelu Takala Oy. Established in 2006, the seven-place home provides a residential setting for children aged 5 to 18 who have been taken into care or placed through child welfare support measures. Its location on a spacious, peaceful site among pine and juniper trees supports a homelike environment.
Villa Kataja’s work focuses on providing children with safety, understanding, clear boundaries and predictable daily routines. Each child has a designated key worker who plans, delivers and reviews their care and guidance, offers individual attention, and supports participation in everyday activities and important events. Key workers can also represent the child in meetings, including school discussions and care planning.
The home aims to consider each child’s overall wellbeing and best interests, maintain a skilled staff team, pursue and demonstrate high-quality care, and ensure a safe living and developmental environment.
