Our story began when two high school friends decided to learn how to make ice cream during their long vacation in June 2017. After trying various artisan style ice creams in Jakarta, they couldn't find one that matched the quality of imported brands.
This inspired them to master the art of making basic ice cream and gelato. At Vilo Gelato, we adhere to three main principles. Firstly, we only use natural ingredients without any artificial coloring, preservatives, or chemicals.
Secondly, we make our gelato in small batches to ensure its freshness, which means it often sells out quickly. Lastly, we strive to use locally sourced fruits as much as possible to support local farms. Our gelato flavors include Dutch Chocolate, Butter Coffee, Salted Caramel, Strawberry Cheesecake, Roasted Pistachio, Macadamia Brittle, Kahlua Coffee, Klepon, Signature Chocolate, and Cookies & Cream – all of which are rated highly by our customers.
