Vilppulan Tähti

Vilppulan Tähti ry is a sports club founded in 1924 and based in Mänttä-Vilppula, Finland. Its activities today focus on volleyball, with a strong emphasis on junior development and welcoming participation across age groups. The club reports around 85 junior players and fields teams in several junior competitions, as well as a women’s team competing in Finland’s second division. It is recognized as a Tähtiseura, a designation noted by the club.

Players can join age-based teams, junior volleyball groups, and family-oriented activities such as ball clubs and toddler volleyball. The club also offers recreational volleyball for fitness and invites people to contribute as coaches, instructors, or supporters. Training, matches, and club events give players opportunities to learn the fundamentals, develop their skills, and take part in organized competition. Seasonal camps and tournaments provide further opportunities for young participants, while the club’s website shares team information, schedules, news, and historical season records. Vilppulan Tähti encourages local residents to play volleyball or support its community club work in other ways.
