SearXNG is a privacy-focused metasearch engine that allows users to explore the web without compromising their personal information. Unlike traditional search engines, SearXNG aggregates results from various sources while ensuring that no user data is stored or tracked, making it a preferred choice for privacy-conscious individuals. The project is community-driven and encourages user participation in improving features, translations, and code through platforms like Weblate and GitHub.

SearXNG operates as a fork of the original Searx engine and is grounded in principles of digital freedom and decentralization. It offers basic privacy by mixing users' search queries with others, providing a seamless search experience without creating user profiles. Users have the option to set SearXNG as their default search engine easily, compatible with various browsers. For those interested in enhancing their online privacy, SearXNG is not only a robust search solution but also a platform that invites users to host their own instances, promoting a more decentralized internet.
