Vindelälvsfiske

Vindelälvsfiske is an organisation focused on fishing and fisheries management across the Vindelälven river system, offering visitors opportunities to fish in waters stretching from the coast towards the mountains. Its fishing areas are coordinated to make fishing accessible and affordable, with well-established management rules intended to protect fish populations. Anglers can purchase fishing permits through the website, including permits that support catch reporting for salmon and trout.

The organisation is actively involved in fisheries conservation and collaborates on projects to improve fish stocks, restore habitats, support fish migration, and share information and knowledge. Its work also encompasses research, education, fishery supervision, advocacy, and promotion throughout the Vindelälven and Laisälven watersheds. The site highlights the return of salmon and the recovery of young trout in restored tributaries, while encouraging visitors to learn more through fishing films and local updates.

Vindelälvsfiske is connected with the Ume/Vindelälven Fisheries Council, formed to coordinate fisheries along the rivers, and works with fisheries management organisations in the watershed.
