The Martha’s Vineyard Vision Fellowship is a nonprofit rooted in the Island community, supporting emerging leaders committed to Martha’s Vineyard’s environmental and social sustainability. It provides financial awards for education, professional development, and locally focused projects or social enterprises, while fostering mentorship, collaboration, and knowledge sharing among Fellows, alumni, and community partners.

The Fellowship offers three award types: mid-career support for degree programs and professional training; project-based awards for initiatives addressing Island sustainability priorities; and Vision Scholar Awards for college-bound high school seniors. Scholar awards provide up to $10,000 per year for two years and may help cover tuition, room, and board. Mid-career and project-based award amounts are determined individually, and their typical terms are two years and one to two years, respectively.

Areas of interest include affordable housing, renewable energy, conservation, education, health care, Island culture, fisheries, social services, sustainable agriculture, water, and waste management. Fellows develop educational or project plans, participate in program events, and connect with mentors and sponsoring organizations.
