Contini 1898 is a historic family winery in Sardinia, located in the heart of the Sinis area near Cabras. Founded by Salvatore Contini and Anna Maria Dessì, the company describes itself as the island’s first and oldest winery. It produces a broad range of wines for Italian and international markets, inspired by the region’s natural character and winemaking traditions.
Its collections include Vernaccia wines, I Giganti, Karmis, Sartiglia, Gli Amici, sparkling wines and organic wines. The portfolio features white, red and rosé wines, as well as selections such as Vernaccia Riserva and Attilio Brut. Contini also offers visitors the opportunity to explore its winery and learn about its philosophy through guided visits and wine tastings. The renovated winery, inaugurated in 2022, is designed as a welcoming place for experiences and gatherings. Guests can book tastings, discover the wine range and enquire about private events. The winery’s shop and visitor experiences are available in Cabras, with scheduled opening hours from Monday to Saturday.
