Violas

Violas is a Covent Garden destination for a leisurely, floral afternoon tea in central London. Founded by Galya and inspired by the gardens of her childhood, the brand creates a welcoming space where guests can slow down, reconnect and enjoy being looked after. Its afternoon tea is served for 90 minutes in a light-filled, colourful setting and costs £50 per person.

The menu puts a distinctive spin on tradition, with classic fillings served in warm brioche, alongside savoury bites such as smoked salmon pâté and chicken tarragon salad. Freshly baked plain and fruit scones come with Cornish clotted cream and strawberry preserve, followed by seasonal cakes and pastries, including Battenberg and opera cake. Edible flowers and microgreens add a floral finish. Fortnum & Mason teas and infusions are included, with coffee also available. Guests can add sparkling wine or other drinks for an extra charge. Violas welcomes everyday visits and special occasions, and offers enquiries for private group afternoon teas at its Covent Garden address.
