About Virginia Down Syndrome Association
Welcome to the Virginia Down Syndrome Association! We are a community of individuals with Down syndrome, their family members, caregivers, friends, and professionals, all committed to creating a community where everyone with Down syndrome is valued for their unique abilities and differences. We provide information, resources, care, and connection to a supportive and welcoming community. Our education programs, conferences, webinars, and parent chats educate individuals with Down syndrome, caregivers, and community members about Down syndrome and cover various topics from early childhood development to employment resources.
We believe that individuals with Down syndrome are valuable members of our community and offer opportunities, support, resources, and advocacy to help them achieve their full potential. We are a community within a community that celebrates and embraces individuals with Down syndrome. We proudly serve over 650 families in the Greater Richmond, Charlottesville, Williamsburg, Fredericksburg, and Central Shenandoah Valley areas.
