About Virginia Truffles
Virginia Truffles, LLC is a family owned and operated business that specializes in the cultivation and production of truffles. Founded in 2007, we started our journey by inoculating seedlings with Tuber melanosporum, also known as the black truffle. Our commitment to innovation led us to plant our first acre of truffle trees shortly after.
In 2018, we celebrated the discovery of our first truffle, marking a significant milestone in our truffle farming journey. As a leader in the emerging truffle industry, especially in the United States, we strive to stay at the forefront of all new scientific advancements and techniques related to truffle cultivation. We offer trufficulture coursework and education from renowned institutions such as La Station Trufficole de Cahors-Le Montat in France, the Forest Sciences Centre of Catalonia in Spain, and the University of Lleida-Agrotecnio Center, also in Spain.
Our team is led by Olivia, who holds a BS in Biology and an MS in Environmental Science with a focus on fungi. In addition to education, we provide experiential and hands-on training opportunities in iconic truffle regions like Valensole in France, Manjimup in Australia, and Cahors in France.
