Virtue In Solace Foundation

Virtue In Solace Foundation is a San Antonio-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to supporting people facing housing insecurity, poverty, domestic violence, discrimination, disability, and challenges associated with aging. Guided by empathy, dignity, and empowerment, the organization works to help individuals find stability, rebuild their lives, and reconnect with their communities.

A central part of its work is providing safe, accessible shared housing for people experiencing or at risk of homelessness, survivors of domestic violence, people affected by gender and sexuality discrimination, and individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Its housing approach aims to balance independence with the comfort and connection of a supportive community. The foundation also lists care management, community home health care, and services for IDD residents among its programs.

Virtue In Solace Foundation invites community members to contribute through donations, volunteering, and caregiver opportunities, including potential live-in caregivers. Through these efforts, it seeks to provide practical support, encourage independence, and create a stronger sense of belonging for people navigating difficult transitions.
