Virunga Lodge is a distinctive Rwanda retreat set high on a ridge overlooking the Virunga Volcanoes, the Musanze Valley and the twin lakes of Bulera and Ruhondo. Built by Praveen Moman in 2004, the lodge is known for its locally inspired Afro-chic design, warm hospitality and dramatic mountain scenery. It offers twelve hand-built bandas, including four deluxe suites, with private terraces facing the volcanoes or lakes.
