Visão Para Inclusão

Visão para Inclusão is a social-impact program created by RBDS to expand access to eye care for people experiencing vulnerability. It provides free optometric examinations and prescription glasses to children, adolescents, older adults and people with disabilities, helping address vision problems that can hinder learning, independence and participation in everyday life. The initiative combines visual screening and immediate correction with ongoing education about eye health, offering guidance and educational materials to encourage prevention and early detection.

Its services are designed to support children’s school engagement, older adults’ autonomy and safety, and accessible, respectful care for people with disabilities. The program works with local organizations to plan and deliver activities tailored to each community, with a model intended for implementation in municipalities across Brazil. It also partners with sponsors and other supporters to extend its reach.

According to the website, the initiative has conducted 23,700 examinations, distributed 21,300 pairs of glasses and benefited 71,000 people. Its work connects eye health with education, dignity, inclusion and social equity
