Visgids

Stichting Visgids is a nonprofit Dutch organization promoting recreational fishing and connecting angling activities with support for good causes. It operates Visgids.nl, a resource for information about coarse fish, predatory fish and carp, with articles, catch reports, fish species profiles and practical details about fishing waters, particularly around Zwolle. The website covers rivers, canals, lakes, urban waterways and polders, and features information on species such as perch, barbel, roach and common carp.

Visgids offers more than editorial content. Its activities include organizing practical and youth fishing days, fishing competitions, and taking part in events with angling clubs, federations and national fishing organizations. The site also promotes fishing in a broad sense and shares details of local events, fishing locations, equipment and techniques. Visgids states that it operates without a profit motive and donates any annual surplus to a cause related to angling, nature or young people. The organization also promotes professional fishing days, giving visitors opportunities to take part in guided fishing experiences while supporting its wider mission.
