Visibles is an inclusive organization dedicated to achieving full inclusion for diverse individuals. Our mission is to ensure that LGBTIQ+ people in Guatemala live a life free of discrimination, where they are respected, exercise their rights, and thrive in freedom and well-being. We work towards creating a society and institutions free from violence towards LGBTIQ+ individuals through collaboration and building relationships between the LGBTIQ+ community and Guatemalan society.

At Visibles, we focus on four main areas of work. Firstly, we create safe spaces for community engagement, facilitating exchange, participation, and communication. Secondly, we provide capacity-building initiatives and support learning processes to empower individuals and promote personal development.

Thirdly, we conduct research with a human rights-based and systemic approach to gain a better understanding of the issues. Finally, we actively advocate for the demands of LGBTIQ+ individuals, monitor institutional actions, and propose solutions. Together, we can make Guatemala an inclusive society where everyone, regardless of their sexual orientation or gender identity, can live with dignity, respect, and equal opportunities.
